Yahoo! Messenger 11 now lets you talk to you Facebook friends within messenger here how to use it:
Linking your Account
When you log into Yahoo! Messenger 11 you will see something like this:
- Click "Link to Facebook" button.
- Enter your e-mail address and password you use for Facebook and click "Login".
- You will then request permission to do stuff with Facebook click "Allow".
- It should then say Success! click on "Continue".
Now at step 4 it may actually say "An error occurred. Please try again later" if this happens click "Okay" Close the windows and Click "Link to Facebook" again and repeat until it says Success! it took me 7 tries to get mine linked but it should work eventually.
Facebook Friends
Once you linked your account you will find a new list of friends called "Facebook Friends" which will look like this:
You can double click on a online friend to start a conversation with them or you can view there Facebook profile by right clicking on there name and choosing "View Profile"..
Sign Out Of Facebook
To sign out of Facebook click on "Messenger" and from the drop down select "Sign out of Facebook Chat".
Note: This seems to be all you can do with Facebook in current build of Yahoo! Messenger Beta at this time but Yahoo! have stated there working on more integration with Facebook so i will update this page when they do!
