My Sound Doesnt Work

so you know how to fix yahoo messenger, My sound doesnt work in the chat room. I get a message that's there is an error in my audio system. Anything that I can do to remedy the problem

Sounds like it not detecting your sound card properly you might have the default Microsoft drivers installed i would try updating your sound card drivers do you know what sound card you have in your pc? Have you ran windows update and checked to see if it finds updated drivers?
